Lion’s Mane 50% / 20% beta-glucans – Hericium erinaceus
Our Lion’s Mane is cultivated on a substrate of sawdust, organic wheat bran, cane sugar and natural gypsum. We use the developed fruiting body to produce the extract. Growing substrate and mycelium powder are not added as fillers to the capsules. Each capsule contains 300–350 mg concentrated fruiting-body extract. A package contains 60 capsules, or about 18–21 grams of extract. The capsule shell is plant-based pullulan. We add no grain powder, mycelium powder, gelatin or HPMC.

Product description
Lion’s Mane: the bearded tooth fungus
Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus) is an edible wood-growing mushroom with a striking white to ivory fruiting body. Its fine downward-pointing spines resemble a white wig or lion’s mane. It is used in Asian cuisines, including soups and cooked dishes.
Culinary and cultural history
The mushroom grows on living or dead hardwood trees in temperate regions of Europe, Asia and North America. It has a history of culinary use. Accounts from the Russian Far East also describe infusions and tinctures of this mushroom. These are historical practices, not proven medical uses.
Only fruiting bodies in our extract
Our Lion’s Mane is cultivated on a substrate of sawdust, organic wheat bran, cane sugar and natural gypsum. We use the developed fruiting body to produce the extract. Growing substrate and mycelium powder are not added as fillers to the capsules.
Standardization: at least 50% polysaccharides and 20% beta-glucans
Our extract is standardized to at least 50% total polysaccharides and at least 20% beta-glucans. Beta-glucans are a subgroup of polysaccharides; the two percentages describe different analyses and must not be added together. At 300–350 mg extract per capsule, the minimum specifications correspond mathematically to 150–175 mg of material measured as polysaccharides and 60–70 mg beta-glucans. The measured fractions may overlap.
From mushroom to extract
Extraction releases and concentrates substances from the fruiting body. Hot-water extraction targets mainly water-soluble fractions, including certain polysaccharides. The concentrated extract is then dried into powder for the capsules.
Hericenones and erinacines: different sources
Hericenones have been described in Lion’s Mane fruiting bodies, whereas erinacines have mainly been studied in certain mycelial cultures. Our product is a fruiting-body extract and is not separately standardized for hericenones or erinacines. Research on other preparations or mycelium therefore cannot automatically be applied to these capsules.
Research on Lion’s Mane
Lion’s Mane composition is being studied, including polysaccharides, beta-glucans and other fungal constituents. Several Lion’s Mane preparations have also been investigated in small studies. Such results do not establish a specific medical effect of our extract or the regeneration of nerve cells in humans.
60 plant-based capsules
Each capsule contains 300–350 mg concentrated fruiting-body extract. A package contains 60 capsules, or about 18–21 grams of extract. The capsule shell is plant-based pullulan. We add no grain powder, mycelium powder, gelatin or HPMC.
Use and storage
Take 2–3 capsules daily with a glass of water, preferably on an empty stomach, approximately 30 minutes before or 90 minutes after a meal. A personalized schedule of 4–6 capsules daily is not a general direction for use and requires individual assessment. Store tightly closed in a dry, dark place at 10–25 °C, out of reach of children.
Quality and purity
Our quality controls focus on species identity, the fruiting body used, composition and standardized content. Polysaccharide and beta-glucan measurements describe quantifiable composition, not a guaranteed therapeutic effect.
